Shipping

If you are unable to pick-up your new puppy, we offer shipping within the Continental US.  Shipping outside the Continental US is available on a case by case basis and pricing will be determined accordingly.  For more information about international shipping please email me at RonniesRuffers@Yahoo.com.

For all of our shipping needs, we use Continental Airlines' Pet Safe Program.  This program was created due to the growing number of pets that are being shipped daily.  Instead of checking your pet as baggage, your puppy is now treated with the greatest of care and shipped as cargo to reduce the stress that some puppies may have when traveling.  In several airports throughout the United States, they have a full veterinary staff and kennels provided in the case of plane delay or layovers.  With this new program, new puppy parents can track their puppy's journey online at cocargo.com.  Your puppy will now travel as a QuickPak Passenger that provides same day, airport to airport delivery with features designed to ensure a puppy's comfort and safety.

Shipping within the Continental US is priced at an additional $300.  This includes a plane ticket for the destination with times agreed upon for pickup, a travel crate that meets all USDA and IATA regulations, a puppy plane kit which includes two travel bowls and contact information for arrival and departures, and a Certificate of Health from a Certified Veterinarian showing the puppy is in good health and there are no health risks forseen for the puppies journey.

For convenience purposes, we will work with you on a time that is most convenient for you to pickup your puppy at the airport.  We understand the busy lives that some of our new parents have and will do our best to accomodate your needs throughout this exciting journey.

The puppy shipping process explained:

Step 1:  As soon as the puppy reaches 8 weeks of age, the puppy is ready to be shipped.  As soon as payment is received in full we can book the flight.  You, the new puppy owner, and I, the shipper, will work to find a time that is convenient for you to pickup the puppy at your nearest airport.  Once a time has been established, I will call Continental and book a flight that is closest to meeting your needs.

Step 2:  I will confirm with the airline and receive an email that contains all of the flight information for the puppy's journey.  This will have arrival and departure times, any layovers, and gate information for the pickup location.  The confirmation number included in this email is what I use to book the flight and receive the Airway Bill Number that will help you track your puppy's journey.  I will promptly forward this email to you if you have provided me with an email address.

Step 3:  I will obtain the Certificate of Health from our Certified Veterinarian and line the travel crate with a puppy training pad to help with any messes your puppy may make on the voyage.  I will attach the food and water dish to the door of the travel crate and attach all of your information in a waterproof bag to the underside of the top of the travel crate using strong tape so your new puppy will not be tempted to play.

Step 4:  Following all of our Veterinarian's and Continental's puppy travel guidelines, I will give your puppy a boost of nutrition with Karo syrup to ensure the puppy has plenty of carbohydrate energy for the journey and feed your puppy one last time before he/she boards the plane.  Feeding and Watering information is recorded on the travel crate and Continental's wonderful staff will feed and water the puppy when needed.

Step 5:  Your puppy boards the plane and I receive the Airway Bill Number.  I will email you the Airway Bill Number so you can track your puppy's journey through cocargo.com.

Step 6:  Your puppy arrives and is ready to play after the hours of sleeping he/she has had on the plane.

Once your puppy has arrived safely, we appreciate you letting us know of his/her safe arrival.  We trust Continental to deliver your puppy as safe and healthy as when it left our care, and we do everything we can to ensure your puppy's safe arrival.  For any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at RonniesRuffers@Yahoo.com.

Information displayed on this page is a combined outline from Continental Airlines as well as my own experiences.  Whether shipping your puppy to California, New York, or Texas, we do our best to bring you a happy little bundle of joy!
